At the same time, they shouldn’t be too tight. Leggings that are overly tight can feel restrictive and uncomfortable on the skin while you're trying to focus on your workout. The ideal pair should feel comfortable, lightweight, and flexible, allowing you to move naturally.
Another important factor is opacity. Your leggings should never be see-through. You should be able to squat, stretch, and move without worrying about showing anything.
